Reporting something to Tinder
Your physical and psychological safety is paramount. If someone is causing you harm, making you feel uncomfortable, or violating our Community Guidelines, please let us know. You can report violating activity that happens online or in real life through our in-app reporting feature or through our Contact Form. Head to our Help Center to learn more about how to report something to Tinder.
Do not make false or malicious reports. Submitting a false report or reporting someone simply because you don’t like them, including based on how they look or identify, is against our Community Guidelines and can result in your profile being banned from Tinder.
What happens after I submit a report? Depending on the report’s content and context, the appropriate next step will be taken based on our policies – that could mean an automated intervention, a review by our Trust & Safety team, or both. If we confirm a violation of our policies, we may remove content, send a warning, or ban the account. When appropriate, Tinder will engage with the relevant authorities.
All reports are treated as confidential. Users may receive a generic notification that a report led to their account being reviewed, but details of who submitted the report or the contents of the report will not be disclosed. Exceptions may be made in rare instances where required by law.
